Dr Mrs Arundhati Sardesai is a well known educationist and writer. She is on board of several educational and research institutions and is currently actively engaged in Manavya - a residential care and rehabilitation center of HIV/AIDS affected destitute/orphaned children and women. The reason she is profiled here is that she has been a teacher all her life, in schools and colleges. And she led some teacher education institutes like Raja Shree Shivaraya Pratishthan and Meenatai Thakre D. Ed.College, Pune and worked for adult literacy too. She delivers many talks on AIR Pune, varied public functions and has written articles in Hindi, English and Marathi in journals & magazines.
Dr. Joy Anuradha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages, Humanities and Management at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. She is a PhD from English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad. She has a wide range of experience in teaching, research and training. Her areas of specialization are Linguistics, English for Science and Technology(EST), English Language Teaching in Higher Education and Technical Communication.
Dr. R. Balasubramanian, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at IIT, Roorkee, obtained B.Sc from A.M. Jain College (University of Madras) in 1994, M.Sc from Madras Christian College (University of Madras) in 1996 and Ph.D from IIT-Madras in 2001. During his Research tenure at IIT Madras, he was selected with full financial support twice by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy to attend five weeks of special short term courses in the field of Image Processing and Control Theory. He was a PDF at University of Missouri Columbia, USA in 2001-02 and a Post Doctoral Associate at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, USA in 2002-03. He joined Department of Mathematics at IIT-Roorkee as Lecturer in 2004 and became Assistant Professor in 2006. He was a Visiting Professor and a member of Computer Vision and Sensing Systems Laboratory in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Windsor, CANADA during May - August 2009. His area of Research includes Vision Geometry, Digital Watermarking using Mathematical Transformations, Image Fusion, Biometrics, Secure Image Transmission over Wireless Channel, Content Based Image Retrieval and Hyperspectral Images.

Dr. Preeti R. Bajaj is the Director, G .H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur She is a Fellow IEI, Senior Member- IEEE, LM-ISTE, and LM-CSI and is currently Chair IEEE SMC Bombay section that covers four States of Central India. She is the first Indian to be selected as Technical Committee Chair on System Man and Cybernetics Society of the IEEE.Currently she is guiding six Doctoral students and two have been awarded PhD. She has to her credit over 80 Publications in International Journal and International Conferences.
Vasudeva Varma is an associate professor at IIIT Hyderabad since 2002. He heads Search and Information Extraction Lab (SIEL) and Software Engineering Lab (SERL) and is currently the chair of Post Graduate Programs. He has co-founded SETU Software Systems Pvt Ltd, incubated at IIIT Hyderabad's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and which released a new product myDrona that won a special jury mention at recent ITsAP product awards.He is also a big fan of Star wars movies, start-ups, cruiser bikes, and Apple products. He enjoys Telugu Literature, Indian classical music and photography.
Prof Cherian P. Kurien, Professor & Director, School of Social Work, at Marian College Kuttikanam, since 2007. He holds a PhD in Social Work from Nagpur University and has worked at many prestigious institutes. He was a Professor, Public Health Management at I2IT from 2004 to 2006 and successfully led a joint master's program with University of South Florida. He was Director of Karve Institute for three years before joining IIT. His interests include Public health, Interventional research, Teaching-Learning methodologies, International traveling, devotional and semi-classical music. Giri Tiruvuri Ph.D., PMP holds a PhD from Michigan State University, East Lansing, USA in Algorithms for VLSI, prior to which he completed M.Tech. in AI & Robotics, Central University, Hyderabad and B.E. in Computer Science, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
