I spoke to all the teachers and also saw some of the classes where they are implementing the learnings. It is very interesting and the newspaper method of teaching is a big hit. All the points I collected are in the attached file. On the whole the training was enjoyable as you have used many of the methods in your class itself. So it became a live demonstration of the concepts you were teaching. The teachers say the test results have improved and they will not call any child as slow learner, it is just that different methods needs to be used to teach them. The message that all children are not the same has also opened up their eyes to use different methods like audio, video and activity methods.

The 3-day teachers' training programme in Oct '09, conducted by you for all Deans, Directors, Heads of various Departments and senior professors of KL University was very useful. Through the programme, faculty members were educated about different pedagogical aids and other various aspects of effective teaching. Sessions were conducted in true sense of "workshop" where faculty members were made to "work". Emphasis on different pedagogical aids in teaching professional courses started giving results as more and more faculty members are coming forward to use these aids in their classroom. The programme was more educative and entertaining. In my capacity as Dean Academics and Pro Vice Chancellor of the University, I can authoritatively say that there is a difference in faculty members who have attended the workshop before and after the workshop. It was easy for me to initiate changes related to academic matters, after the workshop. Since senior faculty members were involved in the workshop, the benefits of workshop have flown to the lower level. This semester we have implemented Bloom's taxonomy successfully for all courses of KL University. We are planning to have more workshops from you in near future for other faculty members as well.

We have tried out Learning Through Teaching in Team based learning (in Mech, Textile and IT depts) that was explained in the workshop in Nov 09. This was done for the whole semester and according to a survey conducted after the exercise, almost all students felt that they learnt better, they enjoyed it and they recommended that this mode should be extended to other subjects and started in first or second year. Based on this we are refining and expanding this mode of teaching.

All the sessions were very informative and perfectly designed. The articipants had to be alert all the time and they enjoyed the activity sessions that were planned for them. Overall it was a refreshingly different learning experience for everyone - on Principals' Orientation Program for Sultan-ul-loom Public Schools.

Three of our SUPS Principals have shown tremendous improvement in their working and performance in their schools which I believe is only because of the orientation they received from your workshop.

I always believed that learning by students and the long term retention of things learnt is lot more important than the knowledge of the teacher. In this context, you have rightly spoken about 'active learning', which is the need of the students. I feel, the techniques explained by you during the 90 minute lecture, packed with the right information will help the students to shape thier destiny into successful professionals. I wish Teacher\\'s Academy all the best in all their activities.
